XX, XX, XXXX — Texas. The southern part of America had ended in fire and static. Cities fell. Machines rose.

Bailey had been out of town—just for a day—to buy a super limited edition sewing machine. By the time she returned, everything was gone, lost in the smoke. 

Now, the roads are ruled by rogue machines, and the air hums with static and ash.

 Then, through the crackle of her car radio, her aunt’s voice broke through. A livable house, she said, far out east. A place to start over. 

Now determined, Bailey hits the road with the little she has left: her new sewing machine, and her action-ready pink car.
